This is an official notice of the upcoming election to be conducted in Accomack County. The Commonwealth of Virginia has called for a statewide special referendum election to be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, for a proposed constitutional amendment. The ballot will contain the following question:
"Question: Should the Constitution of Virginia be amended to allow the General Assembly to temporarily adopt new congressional districts to restore fairness in the upcoming elections, while ensuring Virginia's standard redistricting process resumes for all future redistricting after the 2030 census?"

| March 6, 2026 | First Day of In-Person Early Voting at Voter Registration Office from 8:30 AM to 5 PM |
| April 10, 2026 | Deadline to request to receive an absentee ballot by mail. Requests must be received in the Voter Registration Office by 5 PM. |
| April 11, 2026 | First Day of In-Person Saturday Voting from 8:30 AM to 5 PM |
| April 14, 2026 | Deadline to Register to Vote or Update Registration (Voters may register after this date and vote using a provisional ballot/SDR) |
| April 18, 2026 | Second Saturday and Last Day to Vote Early In-Person 8:30 AM to 5 PM |
| April 21, 2026 | Election Day at Your Local Polling Place Only from 6 AM to 7 PM (Voters cannot early vote at the Registrar’s office) |
*Curbside voting available during Early Voting and on Election Day. Ballot Drop box located in parking lot of Voter Registration office during Early Voting; (precincts are Drop off locations for Absentee ballots on Election Day)
